We have a 90 minute literacy block. 30 minutes of this block is whole group, where we cover a book, the letter of the week, our daily fix-it sentence, word building, vocabulary words that will be in our story and many, many more things we do.
We just have gotten in our Common Core Reading Series. We implemented common core last year with the Reading Series that we had. My kids did great!!! I have never seen kids read so fast! I can't wait to see what is coming this year for my new kids!!!!
